LUCY MAE VANDYKE CRAWFORD - Lucy Mae VanDyke Crawford, age 83, resident of Gastonia, NC went to be with the Lord on June 8, 2012 at her home. She was born in Cleveland Co. NC to the late David Sylvanus VanDyke and Lula Lockridge VanDyke. She was also preceded in death by her former husband, Mack Crawford, and brothers, James Robert VanDyke and Johnny VanDyke. After 49 years as a devoted nurse, Mrs. Crawford retired from Gaston Memorial Hospital in 1994. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Gastonia, NC, and a loving mother and grandmother who cared deeply for her family. The family would like to give a special thanks to all of her Gaston Co. hospice caregivers.
