RUBY PLUMLEY EAKER - Ruby Plumley Eaker, age 89, resident of Wilmington, NC formerly of Hickory, NC died June 17, 2012 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington, NC. She was born in Greenville County, SC to the late Claude and Jannie Hammett Plumley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Hugh Eaker; sister, Audrey Jackson; and son-in-law, Wilbur J. Taylor, Jr. Mrs. Eaker was a homemaker and formerly employed with Windy City Jewelers, Hickory, NC. She was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church, Hickory, NC. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed surf fishing, computers, and reading.

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: El Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Wednesday, June 20, 2012 11:00 A.M. Rev. Bruce Hobson, officiating

VISITATION: 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 20, 2012 prior to the service in the parlor of El Bethel United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Eaker will be in the sanctuary of the Church during the visitation for those who would like to pay their respects.

INTERMENT: El Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Kings Mountain North Carolina
