Bobby Charles Bridges, 88, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on November 16, 2018 at his home in Kings Mountain, NC. He was born in Cleveland County, to the late Edgar Wiley Bridges and Gertie Louetta Wright Bridges and was preceded in death by his wife of over 60 years, Barbara Allen Bridges. Bobby was a life long member of First Baptist Church and was a member of the M&M Sunday School Class. He was a long time member and Past Master of the Fairview Masonic Lodge #339 in Kings Mountain. He was a 32 Degree Scottish Rite Master Mason. Bobby was a past District Deputy Grand Master of the 35th District and a member of the Oasis Shrine Temple. He was an honorary lifetime member of the Hejaz Shrine Temple in Columbia South Carolina. Bobby was a founding and charter member of the Piedmont Shrine Club, the Piedmont Pistons Parade Unit and the White Plains Shrine Club. He was the owner and operator of City Auto and Truck Parts for 59 years and the past president of the North Carolina Automotive Wholesalers Association. Bobby farmed and sold Christmas trees to the community for 25 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Bobby will be missed dearly by his family and many friends.

Sisters: Joanne Pruette and husband, M.C., Kings Mountain, NC and Brenda Reid, Weddington, NC
Grandchildren: Melody, Melissa, Jacob, John, Charles, Cora, Katie and Andrew
Great Grandchildren: Michael, Shaun, Caroline, Alyssa and Zach
FUNERAL SERVICE: Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. John Sloan officiating
VISITATION: Monday, November 19, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, NC
INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC
