Cornelia Houser Buchanan
Cornelia Buchanan, 78, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on May 10, 2019 at her home. She was born in Cleveland County NC, to the late Lillian and Lawson Houser and was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Jimmie Ray Buchanan. Cornelia was also preceded in death by her sister, Alma Deaton, her brothers, Johnny, Gene, Lester and Jimmy Houser, brother in law, Boyd Deaton and sisters in law, Helen Houser and Teenie Houser. She was a lifetime member of East Gold St. Wesleyan Church where she served on the church board for many years. She also served as a Sunday School teacher, the nursery coordinator and was the former church custodian. Cornelia retired after 16 years of service at Mauney Hosiery. She was a loving Christian mother, wife, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. Cornelia will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. 
SURVIVORS: Daughters: Sharon Eaker and husband Fred, Cherryville, NC,  and  Lisa Batchler and husband Tommy, Kings Mountain, NC
Sons: Reverend Tommy Buchanan and wife Tena, Dallas,  NC, and
Reverend Scott Buchanan and wife Sandy, Laurens, SC  
Brother: Ervin Houser and wife Pat and Sister in law, Marlene Houser
Grandchildren: Joshua Eaker and wife Ashley, Kaleb Eaker, Ciera Buchanan, Andrew Buchanan, Kala Eagle and husband Ryan, Brittany Jolly and husband Nathan, Kelsey Morrison and husband Kris, Sydney Reynolds and husband Jody, Kalli Buchanan, Lyndsey Lewis and husband Tyler, Kasey McCready and husband Jonathon and Tyler Batchler and wife Mallory
Great Grandchildren: Abigail and Emma Eaker, Adalai, Wilek and Waylon Eagle, Landon, Zoey, Aspen, Ruby and Henry Jolly, Conner and Isaac Morrison, Judah Reynolds, Alexandra and Dawson Buchanan and Allie and Greyson Lewis
FUNERAL SERVICE: Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 3:00 PM at East Gold Street Wesleyan Church with Reverends Tommy Buchanan, Scott Buchanan and Scott Whitney officiating
VISITATION: Tuesday, May 14, 2019 from 1:30 PM to 2:50 PM prior to the service at East Gold Street Wesleyan Church
INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC
