Helen Louise Ayers
Helen Louise Ayers, 81, of Bessemer City, NC, passed away on September 17, 2018 at Testa Family Hospice House in Kings Mountain, NC. Born in Cleveland County, NC, she was the daughter of the late William Martin Daves and Annie Mae Gibson Daves and was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Dean Ayers. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Fred and Bill Daves and a sister, Patricia Haskins. Helen was a member of First Baptist Church in Cherryville. She was retired from Cleveland County Schools where she spent over 25 years as a cafeteria worker. Helen enjoyed spending time at Myrtle Beach on vacations. She was a tough but loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and she will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Son: Joe Ayers, Kings Mountain, NC
Sisters: Lucy Morrow, Cherryville, NC, Vernise Webb, Shelby, NC and Beth Wales, Cramerton, NC
Grandchildren: Matthew Ledbetter, Jessica Ayers, Christopher Ayers and Michael Homesley
Great grandchild: Benjamin Ayers
FUNERAL SERVICE: Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel, Kings Mountain, NC with Rev. Dr. Vincent Hefner officiating
VISITATION: Wednesday, September, 19, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Harris Funeral Home
INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC
