Howard Junior Beard, 64, of Grover, NC, passed away on August 01, 2018 at Carolina Medical Center - Main in Charlotte, NC.  Born in Union County, SC, he was the son of the late Grady Beard and Geraldine Foster Beard and was preceded in death by two brothers. Howard was a longtime member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was a skilled welder and worked nationally and internationally for forty years. Howard was an instructor and respected mentor to many people during his career. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be missed dearly by everyone who knew and loved him. 
SURVIVORS:  Wife of 32 years: Suzy McCraw Beard
Daughters: Angela Johnson and husband Brian
Brittany Hendricks and husband Joshua
Son: Michael Grayson Jr
Grandchildren: Olivia Beard, Taylor Beyer, Logan Beyer, Carsen Hendricks, Tripp Grayson, Halie Grayson, Elaina Grayson and Myles Grayson
Great Grandchild: Camila Henriquez

FUNERAL SERVICE: Sunday, August 5, 2018 at 4:00 PM at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 1017 Bethlehem Rd. Kings Mountain, NC with Rev. Dr. Steve Taylor officiating
VISITATION:  Saturday, August 4, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bethlehem Baptist Church CAC Building
INTERMENT: Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery
