Joseph Frank Messick, 78, of Lake Wylie, SC, passed away on December 16, 2018 at his home in Lake Wylie, SC. He was born in Caldwell County, NC, to the late Frank Mack Messick and Zellie Elizabeth Wilson Messick and was preceded in death by his brothers, Jack and Bill Messick, and his sisters, Peggy Williams and Ann Griggs. Joseph proudly served in the US Army. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by his family.
SURVIVORS: Wife of 52 years: Norma McDonald Messick
Daughter: Ginger Leigh Hice and husband, Todd, Gastonia, NC
Grandchildren: Katie Jo Hice and Michael Tedd Hice
Faithful canine companion: Charlie
MEMORIAL GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Hollywood Cemetery, Gastonia, NC with Chaplain Carl Morton officiating
INTERMENT: Hollywood Cemetery, Gastonia, NC
