Vera Goins Davis
Vera Goins Davis, 91, of Kings Mountain, NC, went to be with her Lord on December 29, 2019 at White Oak Manor in Kings Mountain, NC. She was born in Cleveland County, NC, to the late Clyde and Pearl Short Goins and was preceded in death by her husband of more than 60 years, Owen L. Davis. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Chalmer Goins and her sisters, Sadie Mae Taylor, Thelma Bridges, Dorothy Payne, Ruth Putnam, Bertha Goins, Inez Bradford and Pearnell Patterson. Vera was a sweet and generous person and had a deep and abiding Christian faith. She was a wonderful homemaker for Owen and enjoyed working in the yard, gardening and growing flowers. Vera enjoyed traveling and taking walks. She was a wonderful Aunt to her many nieces and nephews. She will be missed dearly by her loving family.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Thursday, January 2, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel with Pastor Steve Fletcher officiating
VISITATION: Thursday, January 2, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home
INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery  
MEMORIALS: Donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital
