William "Bill" Sanders
William "Bill" Sanders, 80, of Chester, SC, passed away on May 08, 2018 at Wellmore of Tega Cay in Fort Mill, SC. He was born in Cleveland County, NC, to the late Herman Howard Sanders and Martha Solesbee and was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Linda Rhea Sanders and a sister, Peggy S. Moss. Bill was a 1956 graduate of Kings Mountain High School where he played the trumpet in the school band. After graduation, he joined the US Navy and served as a bugler on active duty for two years. Bill enjoyed playing golf and was a member of the band, "Blue Velvet" for many years. He was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by everyone who knew him.

                    Sister: Linda Caton Abercrombie, Spartanburg, SC
             Grandson: Houston Strauss, Rock Hill, SC
FUNERAL SERVICE: Friday, May 11, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel, Kings Mountain, NC
VISITATION: Friday, May 11, 2018 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, NC
INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC
