KINGS MOUNTAIN-Alice Pearson Connor, 90, went to be with the Lord on Nov. 8, 2010, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby.
She was born in Cleveland County to the late William "Bud" and Mullie Wallace Pearson and was also preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Adam E. "Jim" Connor; daughter, Dorthea Lyrene Connor; brothers, James "Jim" Pearson, Robert Lee Pearson, William Pearson and sister, Annie Dellinger. She was a very active member of East Gold Street Wesleyan Church, where she served as Sunday school teacher, Vacation Bible school director and teacher and she was a member of the Women's Auxillary and Women's Missionary Society. She was a prayer warrior with a strong faith in her Lord. She believed in Him unconditionally. She was a homemaker and stay at home mother.
She is survived by her sons, Buddy W. Connor of Wilkesboro, Gene Connor and his wife Marietta of Danville, Va., Nelson Connor and his wife, Hallie of Kings Mountain; daughters, Grace C. Weaver and her husband John of Shelby, Kimberly Connor-McCormick and her husband, Steve of Clover, S.C.; 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and numerous other relatives.
Visitation: The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall of East Gold Street Wesleyan Church
Memorial Service: 1 p.m. Thursday at East Gold St. Wesleyan Church
