Brenda Kaye (Smith) Dover

DATELINE: GROVER, NORTH CAROLINA Brenda Kaye Dover Brenda Kaye Dover, 72, of Grover, NC, passed away on September 10, 2022 at Atrium Cleveland in Shelby, NC. She was born in Cleveland County, NC, daughter of the late William Edward and Novella Byrd Greene Smith and was preceded in death by her brothers Carl, Jerry, Donald, Harold, and Charles Smith, her twin sister Linda Bowen and her sister Betty Smith. She was also preceded in death by a grandchild, Ethan Arrowood, 3 great grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Sara Smith. Brenda was a former member of Bethany Baptist Church and a member of Proclaiming the Word. She worked at Polygram for more than 20 years and served as a certified Emergency Medical Technician with Grover Rescue Squad for over 20 years. Brenda was a selfless person and always gave of herself. She volunteered with battered and abused women shelters for several years. She enjoyed staying active. Brenda was  a former industrial league softball player and always on the go with her beloved grandchildren. She loved working Sudoku puzzles. Brenda was an avid horror movie fan and was often referred to as the "horror movie queen". Her guidance, love, and energy will be missed greatly by everyone who knew and loved Brenda.
