Charles Virgil Fite

CHARLES "VIRGIL" FITE -Charles "Virgil" Fite, age 86, resident of 311 Fulton Street, Kings Mountain, NC went to be with his Lord on January 6, 2016 at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte, NC. He was born in Cleveland Co. NC to the late Arthur and Galiy Fite. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Rena Fite and 13 siblings. Mr. Fite was retired from Ithaca Knit, Gastonia and was the custodian for Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church. He was a member of Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church where he formerly served as Deacon. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed doing upholstery with his wife. He loved his Lord and Savior and enjoyed singing gospel music.

SURVIVORS: Wife of 62 years: Betty Bowen Fite, Kings Mtn. NC Son: VA Chaplain Byron Keith Fite, Spruce Pine, NC 1 Grandson: Jacob Allen Fite.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel, Saturday, January 9, 2016 3:00 P.M. Rev. Greg Neely and Chaplain Byron Keith Fite officiating.

VISITATION: 6:30 - 8:30 P.M. Friday evening, January 8, 2016 at Harris Funeral Home, and other times at the home 311 Fulton Street, Kings Mountain, North Carolina

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
