Gloria Gail Byrd, 63, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on October 15, 2024 at Atrium Health Cleveland in Shelby, NC. She was born September 2, 1961 in Dougherty County, Georgia. Gloria was the daughter of the late Walter Lee Byrd and Lee Ester Caddell Byrd. Gloria possessed a vast intellect, having earned 2 Doctorate degrees. She was a very artistic soul and was a talented photographer. Gloria spent five years traveling with the band Journey as a personal photographer. Her artistic endeavors also included creating beautiful works of art in watercolors. Gloria was an avid reader and collector of books. She enjoyed spending time outdoors and two of her favorite pastimes were boating and fishing. Gloria was a kind and loving person who could befriend anyone and never had an enemy. Her kindness, encouragement, and love was a comfort to all who knew Gloria. Her memory will live on in the lives of her loved ones for all time.
