John Ivey George, Jr

JOHN IVEY GEORGE, JR. - John Ivey George, Jr., age 89, resident of Kings Mountain, NC died October 9, 2013 at his home. He was born in Cleveland Co. NC to the late John Ivey George, Sr. and Eva Ballard George. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Sara Ivey George, and brothers, Kenneth E. George, Sr. and Harold George and sister, Melba Payne. Mr. George was retired from Eastern Airlines after 38 years of service and served in the United States Army Air Corp during World War II in the Pacific Theatre.

NC Myron George and wife Sonia, Indian Trial, NC Brothers: Richard George, Virginia Beach, VA Curtis George, Statesville, NC Sisters: Frances G. Sarvis, Kings Mtn. NC Pansy G. Cunningham, Kings Mtn. NC 9 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel, Saturday, October 12, 2013 11:00 A.M. Rev. Eddie Gray and Rev. Don Williams, officiating.

VISITATION: 9:30 - 10:30 A.M. Saturday, October 12, 2013 prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, North Carolina

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
