Johnny Eugene Fortenberry Jr.,51 , of Grover, NC, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby, NC. He was born in Gaston County, NC, son of the late Johnny Eugene Fortenberry Sr. and Eunivie Mathis Fortenberry and was preceded in death by his sister, Diane Fortenberry. Johnny was a longtime member of Mount Sinai Baptist Church. He worked in maintenance for most of his life. Johnny enjoyed traveling and weekend trips spent with his family at his camper Scenic Ridge Campground. He loved spending time with his family who were the center of his life. Johnny was a generous person and always gave his family and friends all that he had. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, brother and Paw who will be missed dearly by everyone who knew him.

SURVIVORS: Wife of 24 years: Roxanna Fortenberry, of the home Children: Jessica Fortenberry (Rachod), Blacksburg, SC, and Kimberly Fortenberry (Breeyon), Spartanburg, SC Stepchildren: Joshua Turner (Gena), Casar, NC, and Amanda Wilkins (Paul), Blacksburg, SC Sister: Terry Jo Stiles Grandchildren: Madison and Morgan Turner, Cohen Moss, Kennedy Wilkins, Zane and Za'Yna Miller, Caydence Humphries, and Breeyon Jr. Long time friend: Clifton Moody, Waynesville, NC

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at 3:00 PM in the Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel with Pastor Tim Trexler officiating

VISITATION: Tuesday, December 20, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 2:50 PM prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home
