Mary Helen Mills

MARY HELEN MILLS - Mary Helen Mills, age 89, resident of Cherry Manor Apartments, Cherryville, NC went to be with the Lord on April 15, 2015 at her home. She was born in Cleveland Co, NC to the late Walter David Greene and Ethel Maude Parker Greene. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 15 years, Carlton Mills, brother; Dub Greene, and sisters; Frances Greene, Hazel Davis, Jean Harrill, Lib Williamson, and niece, Christy King She was a member of Missionary Methodist Church, Cherryville, NC and was formerly employed in the textile industry, Merrita Bakeries, and the tobacco industry. She enjoyed helping serve meals on wheels to her fellow residents at Cherry Manor Apartments. She also enjoyed flower gardening, going to the local fish camp, and fellowship with her neighbors on their front porches.

SURVIVORS: Daughter: Patty Neal and husband Larry, Cherryville, NC Sons: David Russell Richard, Chester, SC Bobby Paul Richards and wife Sumalee, Lancaster, SC Sisters: Shirley King, Kings Mtn. NC Betty Jo Sherrer, Kings Mtn. NC 6 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.

PRIVATE FAMILY GRAVESIDE SERVICE WILL BE HELD.

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
