ROBERT ALAN PAYNE
Robert Alan Payne, 70, of Kings Mountain, gained his heavenly sight and hearing, on July 5, 2017 at Carolinas Health Care System, Pineville, NC. Born in Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Calvin Payne and Lois Propst Payne. He was also preceded in death by a daughter Laura Elizabeth Payne and brother Gene Payne. Robert attended Midview Baptist Church and enjoyed getting together weekly with is life long friends. He was a retired barber.
SURVIVORS: Wife of 44 years, Vivian Scoggins Payne, Kings Mountain;
Sons: Robert Calvin Payne and Travis Payne, Kings Mountain and Jonathan Payne, Kannapolis, NC;
Sisters: Christine Jackson, Kings Mountain and Peggy Edwards, Gastonia;
8 Grandchildren
FUNERAL SERVICE: Monday, July 10, 2017, 2:00 PM, Midview Baptist Church, Kings Mountain with Rev. Michael Rice officiating
VISITATION: 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, prior to the service at the church
INTERMENT: Midview Baptist Church Cemetery
