William O. Ross

NAME: WILLIAM "BILL" O. ROSS - William "Bill" O. Ross, age 73, resident of 327 Stony Point Road, Kings Mountain, NC went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Wendover Hospice, Shelby, NC. Born in Clover, SC to the late John Landrum and Lonnie Lovelace Ross. He was also preceded in death by son; Barry Thomas Ross, brothers, Garvis Ross and Maynard Ross; Mother and father-in-law, James and Lona Bridges; brother-in-law, Bill Bridges and wife Connie Bridges, and two sister-in-laws Jerrie Ross and Jean Bridges. He was a member of El Bethel United Methodist Church, Kings Mtn. NC. He served in the United States Air Force, Airman 1st class from July 1957 to July 1961 and served a tour of duty in Saudi Arabia. He was a wonderful handyman who was always willing to help others and was retired from Fiber Industries, Earl, NC. He graduated from Bethware High School and received three associate degrees from Cleveland Technical College. A loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed. A special thanks to Hospice Nurse: LouAnne Devine and team Terry Floyd, Priscilla Brooks, Anita Jones and Jane Gallaway and a special thanks to the nursing staff and the Doctors at Wendover Hospice and Cleveland Regional Hospital.

Son: Mark Wayne Ross, Kings Mtn. NC

Brother: Manuel Ross and wife Carolyn, Kings Mtn. NC

2 Grandchildren: Colt Allman, Kings Mtn. NC and Casey Shipman, III, Great Falls, MT

Brother-in-laws: James Bridges and wife Martha and Bob Bridges and wife Dianne, Both of Lawndale, NC

Sister-in-laws: Janette Ross and Ollie Jo Ross, both of Kings Mtn. NC

Special friends and neighbors: Garth and Barbara Hawkins; and Howard and Lois Blanton. Loving nieces and nephews and his Special Pet Ernie

MEMORIAL SERVICE: El Bethel United Methodist Church, Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 2:30 P.M. Rev. Tom Jolly, Officiating.

VISITATION: 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. prior to the service in the fellowship hall of El Bethel United Methodist Church, Kings Mtn. NC other times at the home, 327 Stony Point Road, Kings Mountain, NC
