Addie Bell (Bumgardner) Wray

DATELINE:  KINGS MOUNTAIN, NORTH CAROLINA Addie Bell Wray Addie Bell Bumgarner Wray, 89, of Kings Mountain, NC passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 19, 2022 at White Oak Manor in Kings Mountain, NC.  She was born in Rutherford County, NC, daughter of the late Esper & Nancy Bumgarner.  Addie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clyde Wray, son & daughter in law, Donald & Karen Wray, infant great-grandson Hunter Gage Wray, along with several brothers and sisters. Addie was a longtime member of Penley’s Chapel Church & an avid daily Bible reader.  She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved her family dearly.  The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at White Oak Manor for the wonderful care, kindness and love shown to Addie during her stay.  We especially appreciate Addie’s dedicated nurses, Holly & Paige, for the exceptional and compassionate care they have shown. SURVIVIORS: Children: David Wray (Cheryl), Winnsboro, SC, Sherry Wray, Kings Mountain, NC, Roger Wray (Donna Gantt), Kings Mountain, NC. Grandchildren: Crystal Wray (Johnny), Dana Wray Powell (Billy), Jennifer Wray Siracusa (Brent), Alan Wray (Bridget), Scott & Chris Wray Great-Grandchildren: Victoria, Andrew, Olivia, Caleb, Morgan, Brandon & Willow Sibling: Eugene “Gene” Bumgardner (Dollie) & numerous nieces & nephews. FUNERAL SERVICE:  The family will hold a Celebration of Life service on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Penley’s Chapel Church with Pastor Jeff Longwell officiating along with Addie’s brother, Reverend Gene Bumgardner.
