Alfred "Al" Tate, age 77, of Kings Mountain, NC died April 29, 2011 at Gaston Memorial Hospital, Gastonia, NC. He was born in Cleveland Co. NC to the late Henry Grady Tate, Sr. and Nettie Long Tate. He was also preceded in death by brother, Henry Grady Tate, Jr. He was a self-employed Accountant for 54 years.

SURVIVORS: Wife of 51 years: Mary Helen Logan Tate, Kings Mtn. NC Son: Alan Kyle Tate and wife Frankie Wood Tate, Siler City, NC Daughter: Elizabeth Anne Tate, Kings Mtn. NC Brother: Vernon Tate and wife Faye, Charlotte, NC Sister-in-law: Jennie Sue Tate, Lutz, FL 2 Grandchildren: Lindsay Tate and Austin Tate. He loved his nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel, Sunday, May 1, 2011 3:00 P.M.

VISITATION: 1:30 - 2:30 P.M. Sunday, May 1, 2011 prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, North Carolina other times at the home of Lyn and Melanie Hayes, 915 Crescent Circle, Kings Mtn. NC.

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
