- Alma Black Heffner, age 67, resident of 108-1 Sabre Drive, Kings Mtn. NC passed away on September 17, 2015 at Testa Family Hospice House, Kings Mtn. NC. She was born in Cleveland Co. NC to the late Coy Black, Sr. and Sallie Moore Black. She was also preceded in death by her brother; Calvin Black and sisters; Joyce Styers, Shirley Owens, and Jean Detter. Mrs. Heffner was a loving mother and grandmother who always enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was proud to raise her family in church and was always reading scripture and praising the Lord to her family. She was an avid sports fan, enjoying playing softball in her younger years, watching wrestling, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys. She enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family. She worked in the textile industry, having worked in several mills in the area, TNS Mills, Blacksburg, SC Parkdale Mills, Gastonia, NC, and National Textiles, Bessemer City, NC.

Dwight Black and wife Diane, Kings Mtn. NC
Darrell Black and wife Frances, Kings Mtn. NC
Sisters: Jane Owens and husband Scott, Clover, SC
Marie “Meart” Mabry, Kings Mtn. NC
Goldie Owensby and husband Lawrence, Kings Mtn. NC
8 Grandchildren: Stephanie Hobbs, Chris Heffner, Jennifer Mull and husband Kevin, Hollie Anthony and husband Jonathan, Nick Heffner and wife Katie, Allen Heffner, Josh Myers and wife Allison, and Brandon Heffner.
9 Great Grandchildren: Alex, Jaci, Karlee, Spencer, Kailee, Hunter, Cooper, Abby, and Kendall.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Oak View Baptist Church, Monday, September 21, 2015
7:00 P.M. Rev. David Turner, officiating.

VISITATION: Family will speak to friends and family immediately following the service in the Sanctuary of Oak View Baptist Church, other times at the home of the daughter, 1564 York Road, Kings Mountain, NC.
