Born in Cherokee County, SC, she was the daughter of the late James Sprouse and Pansey May Ellis. She is also preceded in death by her husband of more than 40 years John Ross Martin Jr. and her sisters, Etta Bridges, Dovey Messer, Ruby Whorley, and Gladys Blackwell. Annie was a charter member of Faith Baptist Church of Kings Mountain. Annie also enjoyed to sew.
