BARBARA CHITWOOD JACKSON - Barbara Chitwood Jackson, age 66, resident of Kings Mountain, NC died May 6, 2011 at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte, NC. She was daughter of the late Ralph Monroe and Mary Black Chitwood. She was also preceded in death by her husband Raymond Eugene Jackson, 2 sisters and 2 brothers. She attended Harvest Time Assembly, Kings Mountain, NC. She was employed with Kings Mtn. Knit/Anvil Knit for over 30 years. A loving mother, grandmother, and friend.

SURVIVORS: Sons: Charles Jackson and wife Brenda, Bessemer City, NC Christopher Jackson and wife Beverly, Prineville, OR Daughters: Amy Huffman and husband Richard, Woodruff, SC Lynn Jackson, Kings Mtn. NC Linda Covil and husband Eugene, Woodruff, SC Mary Chitwood Adams, Gastonia, NC Brother: Gettis Chitwood and wife Lynn, Gastonia, NC Sister: Mary Wynn and husband Robert, Gastonia, NC 19 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel, Tuesday, May 10, 2011 4:30 P.M. Rev. Sheila Grigg, officiating.

VISITATION: 3:00 - 4:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 10, 2011 prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, NC other times at the home of the son, 623 Athenia Place, Bessemer City, NC.

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
