Beatrice Hicks

CLOVER, S.C. - Mrs. Beatrice "Bea" Tessneer Hicks, 80, a resident of Clover, S.C., died Saturday, April 10, 2010, at home.
Born in Cleveland County, daughter of the late E. B. Tessneer and Ola Mae Mauney Tessneer, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Jake Hicks; son, J.B. Hicks; and grandson, Eric William Norris.
She was a longtime member of Ridge Baptist Church, Gastonia, and a loving and caring wife, mother and Nanny. The family would like to extend a warm thank you to the following individuals for their kindness during mother's illness: Dr. Ajay Bajwa, Dr. Mikell Jarratt, Dr. James McGrath, Dr. Charles Meakin, Dr. John Dashiell and Dr. J. Mitchell Costner.
Mrs. Hicks is survived by daughters, Margie Norris and husband, Tony R. Norris, Kings Mountain,Brenda Williamson of Gastonia and Lisa H. Smith and husband, Bobby D. Smith, of Clover; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at 2 p.m. in Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel
Visitation: Tuesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. before the service at Harris Funeral Home
