Bertha Goins

BERTHA GOINS -Bertha Goins, age 78, a resident of 119 Dover Street, Shelby, North Carolina, died Friday, March 18, 2011 at Kings Mountain Hospice House. Born in Cleveland County, North Carolina, daughter of the late Clyde Elmer and Pearl Short Goins and was also preceded in death by a brother Chalmer Goins and sisters, Thelma Bridges, Dorothy Payne and Ruth Putnam, Inez Bradbord, Sadie Mae Taylor. A retired textile employee and who also gave in home care for many. She was a wonderfull lady who was always willing to help others, taking care of many children who felt like they where her own.

SURVIVORS: Brother: Roy Goins and wife Edna, Grover Sisters: Vera Davis, Kings Mountain, NC Pernell Patterson and husband Bill, Kings Mountain, NC Close friend of 50 years: Betty Millwood, Shelby, NC Numerous nieces and nephews

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Monday, March 21, 2011, At 4:00 P.M. Elder Gary Lowe and Elder Randy Richardson, Officiating.

VISITATION: 2:30 to 3:30 at Harris Funeral Home prior to the service

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC
