Betty Sue "Susie" Carroll, 72, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away peacefully after spending the day surrounded by family and friends on November 19, 2021 at Peak Resources in Gastonia, NC. She was born in Cleveland County, NC, daughter of the late Gerald and Louise Phillips Lee and was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Lee Friday and four brothers, Christopher Eugene Brooks, Carol Lee, Max Lee, and Bud Lee. Betty was a longtime member of Oak View Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She retired from Bell South after more than 30 years of dedicated service. She was a wonderful mother who always placed the needs of her children above herself. She worked diligently to provide a wonderful life for her family. Betty enjoyed traveling, cruising, and visiting her favorite destination, the beach. She loved watching and attending NASCAR races and was always a fun loving person. Her kindness and generosity were felt by her friends and family alike. Betty was an amazing person, loving mother and grandmother, a faithful friend to many. Her strength and love was an inspiration to everyone who knew Betty, and will be greatly missed by those who loved her. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Kelly Whitley, Jackie Grigg and the staff of Hospice for the exceptional care given to Betty over the last few months.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Monday, November 22, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Oak View Baptist Church with Reverend Wayne Brazzell officiating

VISITATION: Sunday, November 21, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the parlor of Harris Funeral Home
