Betty Lou Howell

BETTY LOU HOWELL - Betty Lou Howell, age 83, resident of Kings Mountain, NC passed away September 2, 2014 at Carolina Care Center, Cherryville, NC. She was born in Cleveland Co. NC to the late Clarence Dewey Atkins and Lila Atkins Gladden. She was also preceded in death by husband of 25 years, Fred Odell Howell and sister, Joyce Franks. Mrs. Howell was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who retired from the textile industry.

SURVIVORS: Son: Ben Reid Horton, Florida Daughters: Debra Lynn Horton, Gastonia, NC Karla Howell Cain, Shelby, NC Tina Howell Clayton and husband John Michael, Kings Mtn. NC 2 Grandchildren: Kayla Brooke Mudd and Kloe Jade Mudd Nephews: Ronnie Franks and Terry Franks.

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Sunday, September 7, 2014 3:30 P.M. Rev. James Lockridge, officiating.

VISITATION: 2:00 - 3:00 P.M. Sunday, September 7, 2014 prior to the service At Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
