KINGS MOUNTAIN - Mrs. Betty Curvin Quick, 68, of 704 Sandalwood Drive, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010, at Hospice Wendover.
She was born in Calhoun County, Ala., daughter of the late Albert and Evelyn Clark Curvin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Quick; a brother, Jimmy Curvin; and neph-ews, Roger Curvin and Charles Chapman Jr.
She was a nurse for more than 40 years, working in the ICU unit at Kings Mountain Hospital and Cleveland Regional Medi-cal Center in Shelby. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Kings Mountain, where she served in the WMU, choir, Operation Christmas Child, Flower committee and Food Ministries.
She is survived by her sons, Ray Graham and wife, Jennifer, of Kings Mountain and Jim Quick and wife, Betty, of Gastonia; daughters, Stephanie Weaver and husband, Scott, of Kings Mountain and Scottie Quick Graham and husband, Randy, of Gastonia; sisters, Peggy Chapman and husband, Charles, of Arnold, Mo., and Patsy Hanvey and husband, Joe, of Weaver, Ala.; grandchildren, Holly Yasaki and husband, Dan, Rusty, LeighAnne, Brandon, Jordan, Baylee, Dylan and Emily; and great-grandchildren, Weston and Eric.
Visitation: The family will receive friends Thursday, Feb. 11, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at Harris Funeral Home and other times at the home, 704 Sandalwood Drive, Kings Mountain.
