Betty Louise (Smith) Thrift

DATELINE:  KINGS MOUNTAIN, NORTH CAROLINA Betty Louise Thrift Betty Louise Thrift, 80, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on May 17, 2020 at her home. She was born in Banks County, GA, daughter of the late Garnett Earl and Vassie Mae Lewallen Smith and was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, David Lee Thrift. Betty was also preceded in death by brothers, Charles, Harve, Jerry and Barney Smith. She was of the Baptist Faith. Betty was an avid fan and collector of everything Betty Boop. She loved traveling and taking "girl trips" with her family and friends. Betty enjoyed spending time shopping and working word find puzzles. She loved taking care of other people and worked as a caregiver for many years. She was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Betty will be missed dearly by her family and many friends.
