BILL MCGINNIS - William H. "Bill" McGinnis, age 80, a resident of 900 Linwood Road, Kings Mountain, NC died Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Kings Mountain Hospice House. Born in Cleveland County, North Carolina, son of the late William Hinkle and Iva Harris McGinnis and was also preceded in death by brothers, Odell McGinnis, Paul McGinnis, Richard "Dick" McGinnis, James Brooks McGinnis, Don McGinnis, Hubert K. McGinnis, Sr. and sisters Virginia Sabetti, Lucille Sawyer and Geraldine Gonzalez. He was an active member of Grace United Methodist Church, a choir member and was an avid golfer and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was the owner of McGinnis Furniture Company of Kings Mountain for 65 years having started as a young man helping his father.

Daughters: Sandra A. McGinnis, Kings Mountain, NC Donna M. Bumgardner and husband Kenny, Kings Mtn.
Grandchildren: Christopher Johnson and Matthew Bumgardner
Sisters: Janet Eagle, Kannapolis, NC Dorothy Whetstine, North Myrtle Beach, SC
FUNERAL SERVICE: Grace United Methodist Church, Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Tom Jolly, officiating.
VISITATION: 6:30 to 8:30 Monday night at Harris Funeral Home
