DATELINE:  KINGS MOUNTAIN, NORTH CAROLINA Bobby Lewis McFalls

Bobby Lewis McFalls, 89, went peacefully to be with his Lord & Savior on March 4, 2024. Born March 19, 1934 in Kings Mountain, NC to Lloyd & Etta McFalls. Bobby married Shirley Broome on August 4, 1961. They had 3 children, Jeffrey, Michael, and Sharron McFalls. He served his country honorably in the United States Army for 20 years and later continued his service in the United States Postal Service for 24 years. Bobby was an active member of Flint Groves Baptist Church in Gastonia where he enjoyed worshiping alongside his church family. Throughout his time there, he served the church and community so faithfully. He enjoyed working at the Community Care House each week as well as volunteering during Community Care Day. Bobby loved to golf and looked forward to the church Golf Tournament each year. He was a big fan of friendly competition and loved to make those around him laugh. Bobby enjoyed going to breakfast weekly with his “Breakfast Buddies”. These men meant so much to Bobby and have quickly become like family. The family would like to thank Lewis Franks, Joe Harris, Martin Murphy, and David Payseur for their friendship to Bobby and for picking him up and taking him to breakfast when he was no longer able to drive. In addition to his parents, Bobby is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Broome McFalls, his son, Rev. Jeffrey McFalls, his sister, Brenda McFalls Ross, and grandson, Daniel Jones.

Those left to cherish and honor his memory are son, Michael McFalls (Jeannie), daughter, Sharron McFalls, grandchildren  Zac McFalls, Emilee Jones, Doran McFalls (Emily), Maddie McFalls, & Abbi McFalls. Bobby also had many nieces, nephews, and close friends who will all miss him greatly.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Flint Groves Baptist Church at 2017 East Ozark Avenue, Gastonia, NC at 3:00 PM with Reverend Ronnie Bowers officiating

VISITATION: Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:50 PM prior to the service at Flint Groves Baptist Church

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in Bobby’s memory be made to Community Care House, c/o Flint Groves Baptist Church at 2017 E Ozark Ave, Gastonia, NC 28054 or to Gaston Hospice at 258 E Garrison Blvd., Gastonia, NC 28054
