BRENDA SMITH FISHER - Brenda Smith Fisher, age 60, resident of 2510 Aken Drive, Shelby, NC went to be with the Lord on September 24, 2011 at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte, NC. She was born in Cleveland Co, NC to the late Miles Reid Smith and Virginia Lawson Smith. She was also preceded in death by son, Robert Smith. She was a member of New Buffalo Baptist Church, Grover, NC, She was employed as an instructor at Firestone, Kings Mtn. NC and a homemaker. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

SURVIVORS: Husband of 15 years: Phillip Fisher, Shelby, NC Sons: Eric Pope and wife Rachel, Kings Mtn. NC Gerald Pope, Shelby, NC and Wayne Collier, Shelby, NC Daughters: Rita Evans and husband Robert, Cramerton, NC Mary Collier, Shelby, NC Brothers: Reid Smith, Hickory, NC, Bill Smith, Hickory, NC and Ron Smith and wife Kathy, Raleigh, NC Sister: Beatrice Bridges, Shelby, NC 6 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: New Buffalo Baptist Church, Tuesday, September 27, 2011 3:00 P.M. Rev. Adam Green and Rev. James Hamrick, officiating.

VISITATION: Family will speak to friends immediately following the service in the sanctuary of the church other times at the home of the son, 805 Landing Street, Kings Mountain, NC.
