BURLEN DENVER "BILL" KING - Burlen Denver "Bill" King, age 81, resident of 160 Bill King Road, Kings Mountain, NC died April 16, 2011 at his home. He was born in Cleveland Co. NC to the late Charles Burlen and Eliza Oates King. He was also preceded in death by son, Tommy Eugene King and brother, Arthur Eugene King. He was a retired chemist with Lithium Corporation, Bessemer City, NC and served in the US Army. He was a member of Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church, Kings Mountain, NC. He enjoyed woodworking, golfing, fishing, and chasing trains. A loving husband, father, and grandfather.

SURVIVORS: Wife of 58 years: Shirley Greene King, Kings Mtn. NC Daughters: Debra King Shaw, Kings Mtn. NC Sherrie King Camp, Dallas, NC and Christy King, Kings Mtn. NC 4 Grandchildren: Jennifer Camp Lemley, Bryony Camp, Bill McKenzie, and Megan Patterson. 1 Great Grandchild: Kristen Lemley.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church, Tuesday, April 19, 2011 2:00 P.M. Rev. Greg Neely, officiating.

VISITATION: Family will speak to family and friends immediately after the service in the cemetery and other times at the home 160 Bill King Road, Kings Mountain, NC

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
