Carl Burton

Carl Burton, 88, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on August 30, 2024 at his home in Kings Mountain, NC.  Born in Cleveland Co, NC, He was Son of the late John Harper Burton Sr. and Laura Myrtle Goforth Burton. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Elva Kathleen Hudson Burton, his children: Tonya Curry, Randall Frazier and Kathy Raymond; Grandchild: Jody Lucas and 13 Siblings.  Carl proudly served in the United States Army.  He was a member of David Baptist Church in Kings Mountain.  Carl was a hard worker all his life and loved gardening, fishing, hunting, and spending time outdoors. He was an excellent mechanic and electrician. He loved his family dearly and was known to his children as the Best Daddy Ever. He was also known by his family as Uncle Chot, because of his love for chocolate.

SURVIVORS:  Children: Marty Morehead, Kings Mountain, NC; and Walter Allen Goodman and wife Tracy, Grover, NC.

Grandchildren: Robin Merino and husband Ramon, Kings Mountain, NC; and Chris Burns and wife Shonda, Boone, NC.

Nieces: Elizabeth H. Robinson, Wendy Burton, and Elaine Diodato

FUNERAL SERVICE: Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel on Tuesday September 3, 2024 at 2:00 PM with Rev.  Brian Taule officiating.

VISITATION: Tuesday September 3, 2024 from 1:00 OM - 1:50 PM prior to the service in the parlor at Harris Funeral Home.

INTERMENT:  Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina.
