Carolyn Jones Falls

Carolyn Jones Falls, 79, formerly of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on September 21, 2026 at Bethesda Health Care Facility in Eastover, NC. Born March 27, 1947 in Cleveland County, NC, she was the daughter of the late John Dexter Jones and Beulah Katherine Wilson Jones. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, L. Hal Falls.

Carolyn was a 1965 graduate of Kings Mountain High School. She worked in an administrative support role with Kings Mountain Schools for 30 years. She was a dedicated servant to her Lord and Savior and faithfully served in church her entire life. She shared her talents in many roles, including as a Sunday School teacher, President of Women Active In Christ, and serving on various committees.

Carolyn was a gifted cook, baker, canner, and seamstress. She shared her homemade yeast rolls--a family favorite--strawberry jam, and canned pickles with church family and friends for decades. She rarely met a stranger and enjoyed entertaining at her home. She loved chocolate and Coke and never went anywhere without a "Kleenex in her sleeve."

Carolyn was a devoted wife and caregiver to her husband Hal. She was an attentive mother to "her girls," as she often called them, and enjoyed being active in their activities over the years. Carolyn also had a special bond with her siblings Johnny and Elaine and they spent many holidays and birthdays together. Being a Mimi to Katie, Hannah, and Levi was the light of her life, and becoming a great-grandmother last year made life even sweeter to her.

Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Gwen Branch (Stanley) of Waynesville, NC and Edie Bunch (Mathew) of Fayetteville, NC, siblings Johnny Jones (Sandy) of Lexington, NC, and Elaine Jackson of Kings Mountain, grandchildren Katie Card (Josh), Hannah Beiler (Corin), and Levi Branch, and great-grandson Michael Card. She is additionally survived by her nieces and nephew Gayla Ware (Derek), Jonathan Jones (Christy), and Laura Jackson, and her loving friends Trissia and Stan Smith.

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Saturday, September 26, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. in the Patterson Grove Baptist Church Cemetery

The family will speak briefly with attendees following the graveside service.
