Charles Alex Barnette

CHARLES ALEX BARNETTE -Charles Alex Barnette, age 74, resident of Gastonia, NC passed away on June 2, 2016 at his home. He was born in Cleveland Co. NC to the late Clifford and Emma Barnette. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Earline Donaldson Barnette; daughter, Sylvia Barnette; grandson, Charles Dean Haney; brothers, Buddy Barnette and J. D. Barnette; sister-in-law, Jeanette Twitty, sisters, Irene Barnette, Betty Lou Henson, Ailene Barnette and Callie Elaine Guin; Mother-in-law, Annie Mayberry. Mr. Barnette was previously employed in the textile industry and recently employed with T&W Machine Shop. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who enjoyed hunting and fishing.

NC Brothers-in-law: George Donaldson and wife Virginia Kings Mtn. NC L. D. Donaldson, Kings Mtn. NC Grandson: Bradley Edward Haney Great Grandchildren: Griffen Haney, Dilon Haney, Jeremiah Harris, Anthony Whitley, Jamie Whitley, and Katelynne Whitley. Numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel, Sunday, June 5, 2016 2:00 P.M. Rev. James Hamrick, officiating.

VISITATION: 1:00 - 2:00 P.M. Sunday, June 5, 2016 prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
