DATELINE: KINGS MOUNTAIN, NORTH CAROLINA NAME: CHARLES STEVEN BARRETT - Charles Steven "Steve" Barrett, age 74, resident of Gantt St, Kings Mountain, NC, passed away February 1, 2017 at Peak Resources, Shelby, NC. Born in Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Charles Van Buren Barrett and Biddie Gladden Barrett. He was also preceded in death by a son, Todd Barrett, two sisters Sue Jane Henderson and Golden Waters and two brothers Claude Van Buren Barrett and Donald R. Barrett. He was retired from Norick Brothers in Kings Mountain, North Carolina. He was a US Navy Veteran.

SURVIVORS: Brother: Ray Barrett and wife Becky, Rock Hill, SC; Sister: Rita Lawing and husband Doug, Kings Mountain, NC His Children: Son: Brian Barrett and wife Julie, Kings Mountain, NC Daughter: Bridget Salisbury and husband David, Gastonia, NC Grandchildren: Logan Barrett, Zach Barrett and Maddie Grace.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Saturday, February 4th 2:00pm Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel. Officiated by Dr. Steve Taylor

VISITATION: 12:30pm- 2:00pm prior to the funeral service at Ollie Harris Funeral Home

INTERMENT: Full Military Honors provided by the Marine Corp League, Foothills Detachment: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC
