CHARLES WILLIAM DAVES - Charles William Daves, age 73, resident of 1110 Stoney Point Road, Kings Mountain, NC died February 23, 2013 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center, Shelby, NC. He was born in Cleveland Co, NC to the late Paul Francis Daves and Ruby Phillips Daves. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Laura Camp Daves; daughter, Donna Joan Daves; grandson, Scott Herring; brother, Robert Daves; and sisters, Thelma Williams and Dorothy Hamrick. Mr. Daves was a member of New Camp Creek Baptist Church and an avid fisherman. He owned and operated Daves Welding Service, Kings Mtn. NC.

SURVIVORS: Daughters: Vickie Herring and husband James, Kings Mtn. NC Donnis Head and husband Ronnie, Kings Mtn. NC Brother: John "JC" Daves, Kings Mtn. NC Sisters: Elaine White, Blacksburg, SC Carolyn Hullender, Kings Mtn. NC Francis Byers, Shelby, NC 3 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: New Camp Creek Baptist Church, Tuesday, February 26, 2013 5:00 P.M. Rev. Oscar Hullender and Rev. Richard Stroup, officiating.

VISITATION: Tuesday, February 26, 2013 immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.
