Charles Lee Mcdaniel

DATELINE:  KINGS MOUNTAIN, NORTH CAROLINA Charles Lee McDaniel Charles Lee McDaniel, 91, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on November 14, 2018 at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center in Shelby, NC. He was born in Cleveland County, NC, to the late John Dixon McDaniel and Annie Lee Dixon McDaniel and was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Elizabeth Leigh McDaniel. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Glenn, Clyde and Naaman McDaniel, and his sisters, Josephine Sellers, Sarah Stroupe and Helen Roberts. Charles was a life long member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. He honorably served his country in the US Army during World War II. Charles was retired from Bunch Inc. He was an avid gardener and loved attending and watching Nascar racing. Charles was a loving husband, brother and friend. SURVIVORS: Brothers: Bill McDaniel and wife Helen, Kings Mountain, NC, Rodger McDaniel, Kings Mountain, NC, Durwood McDaniel and wife Jean, Shelby, NC and Gerald McDaniel and wife Libby, Kings Mountain, NC Sisters: Martha Ann Wright and husband, Ralph, Hickory, NC and Ruth Sanders, Kings Mountain, NC Special Niece: Teresa Falls and her companion, Lawrence Etters Numerous nieces and nephews GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Friday, November 16, 2018 at 2:30 PM at Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC with Dr. Rev. Steve Taylor officiating. In case of inclement weather, the service will be held in the Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel.
