: KINGS MOUNTAIN, NORTH CAROLINA NAME: CHARLES RICHARD WELCH, SR. - Charles Richard Welch, Sr., age 68, a resident of 133-1 Tiara Dr. Kings Mountain, NC, died Sunday, January 30, 2011 at his home. Born in Chester County, South Carolina, son of the late Charles Welch and Edna Eveline Ashley Lang and was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters. He retired from AKSYS USA of Gastonia, NC. A member of the NRA, he enjoyed fishing, camping and the outdoors, a NASCAR fan. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He served in the US Army stationed in Korea. We would like to extend a special thanks Hospice Caregivers, Gwen Wade and LouAnn Devine.

Rev. Charles Kinley, George Dwain Exline, officiating. VISITATION: 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. Tuesday evening, Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at Harris Funeral Home and Other times at the home.

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC with Military Honors provided by the Marine Corp League.
