Zola Christine Douglas, 99, formerly of Gastonia, NC, passed away on March 17, 2025 at Carolina Care Health & Rehabilitation in Cherryville, NC. Christine was born January 22, 1926 in Hamilton County, TN, daughter of the late James Leonard  and Mary Emma Rose and was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Joseph Arlie Douglas and a son, James Arlie Douglas. She was also preceded in death by all of her siblings, Howard Campbell, Ruby Campbell Fogg, Hicks Campbell and James Rose Jr. Christine was a current member of Apostolic Tabernacle in Newton, NC and a former long time member of Living Word Tabernacle. She was a devoted a faithful follower of Christ. Christine believed every word written in the Bible and lived her life as a testament to her faith. She was a profound prayer warrior that never ceased praying for others. She had a welcoming and loving spirit that you could see in her daily walk with the Lord. Christine enjoyed traveling, especially when there was a revival involved. Christine was a talented poet who composed over 200 beautiful poems. She possessed a sharp mind, wonderful memory and an insatiable love for reading her Bible. She brought up her children in the ways of the Lord and cherished every moment she could spend with her loved ones. Christine's love, guidance, faith, and kindness will always be remembered by each person who knew and loved her.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Friday, March 21, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel with Pastors Joe Greene, Josh Bennett and Brother Richard Douglas officiating

VISITATION: Friday, March 21, 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:50 PM prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home
