Darlene Rockswold Reed

DARLENE ROCKSWOLD REED - Darlene Rockswold Reed, age 71, resident of 22 Central Ave, Ranlo, NC went to be with the Lord on June 18, 2011 at Robin Johnson House, Dallas, NC. She was born in Marion, North Dakota to the late Lewis and Ethel Rockswold. She was also preceded in death by triplet sisters, Elaine, Delaine, and Loraine and brothers, Alan Rockswold and Dean Rockswold. She was a devoted member of Dallas Church of God where she sang in the choir. A 1969 graduate, along with her husband, of Northwest Bible College, Minot, North Dakota with an Associates of Arts degree in Music. Darlene held several administrative positions while assisting her husband in several pastorates. A piano teacher for over 35 years. She also taught at various Christian Schools. She was a three time recipient of the Senior Citizens Church of God State Talent competition award for instrumental in piano. She was a Proverbs 31 lady, loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

SURVIVORS: Husband of 53 years, Rev. Charles A. "Chuck" Reed, Ranlo, NC Sons: Garth Reed and Nicole, York, SC Chris Reed and wife Debra, Dawsonville, GA Daughters: Seriahna "Sarah" Reed and Shane, Leesburg, VA Angel Reed, Bessemer City, NC 3 Grandchildren: Lindsay, Bradley, and Victoria Reed.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Dallas Church of God, Wednesday June 22, 2011 3:00 P.M. Rev. D. R. Shortridge, officiating.

VISITATION: 1:30 - 2:30 P.M. Wednesday, June 22, 2011 prior to the service at Dallas Church of God, Dallas, North Carolina

INTERMENT: Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery, Bessemer City, North Carolina
