Darrren Lee Mertz, 36, of Lawndale, NC, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2020 at his home. He was born in Cleveland County, NC. Darren was employed by Concrete Core Drilling and Sawing in Charlotte, NC. He loved his job and would often post videos of the work he had done so others could share in his joy. Darren enjoyed collecting guns, working on cars, and visiting car shows around the area. He like to travel and loved visiting Gatlinburg with his family. Always a generous person, Darren loved to help anyone who was in need. He was always fun to be around and enjoyed making people laugh. Darren was a wonderful father who lived his life to love and care for Brandy and their children. His mother and grandmother always had a special place in Darren's heart. He was a great person who will be missed dearly by those who loved and knew him.
