David Wayne Snyder, 72, of Gastonia, NC, passed away on October 27, 2026 at Atrium Health Cleveland in Shelby, NC. He was born December 16, 1953 in Steuben County, NY, son of the late Milton Wayne Snyder and Muriel Drehmer and was preceded in death by his sister, Diana Romance-Green. Mr. Snyder, affectionately known by "Spider" by friends and family, proudly served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. He worked most of his life as a contractor in the construction industry. In his spare time, Spider enjoyed fishing and cherished time spent riding motorcycles. He loved his canine companion and spent every moment he could with his family, who were always the center of his life. Spider cherished his grandchildren who all had a special place in his heart. He was a wonderful father and friend to many. The memories he created will live on in the lives of everyone who knew him for eternity.

SURVIVORS: Daughters: Yolonda Snyder, New York, Amanda Haney (Scott Cooke), Gastonia, NC, and Crystal Mize (Richard), Gastonia, NC

Grandchildren: Alisha Snyder, Jaylen Bowman-Snyder, Richard Mize III, Kayleen Mize, and Addison Cooke

Girlfriend: Juanita Satterfield

Niece: Jessica Hairston (Chris), New York
