Dean Heath

Eddie Dean Heath, 74, of Shelby, NC, passed away on February 02, 2024 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC.  He was born in Cleveland County, NC. He was Son of the late Junior Heath and Genell Wood Heath. Dean was generous, always willing to help and feed others.  He loved gardening, cooking, baking pies and cakes, and fishing.  He was outgoing, loved to tell tall tales, a practical joker, star of the show and life of the party.  He was an animal caregiver.  He loved his family and friends and will be missed greatly by them all.

SURVIVORS:  Children: Donna Heath and fiance Shane Newton, Gastonia, NC; Crystal Certain and husband Adrian, Bessemer City, NC;  Kellianne Jones, Kings Mountain, NC; Jacob Heath, Smithfield, NC, and Deanna Heath, Kings Mountain, NC.

Brothers: Rev. John Heath and wife Gloria, Kings Mountain, NC; Mike Heath and fiance Brandy, Kings Mountain, NC, and Jesse Heath and Bethany, Destin, Florida.

Sister: Mary Peterson and husband Doug, Kings Mountain, NC

11 Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews

Dog: Little Buddy

FUNERAL SERVICE: Wednesday February 7, 2024 at 3:00 PM at East Kings Mountain Church of God with the Rev. John Heath and Bishop Bobby Callaham  officiating

VISITATION: Tuesday February 6, 2024 from 6:30 - 8:30 pm at Harris Funeral Home Kings Mountain, North Carolina

INTERMENT:  Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
