DATELINE:  GROVER, NORTH CAROLINA Diane Chapman Vess

Diane Chapman Vess, 77, of Grover, North Carolina, passed away on December 6, 2024 at Atrium Health Pineville in Charlotte. Born November 30, 1947 in Cleveland County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Ruby Lee Chapman and was also preceded in death by her daughter, Amanda Curtis, and her brother, Joseph Keith Chapman. Diane was formerly employed at Fiber Industries in Earl, North Carolina. She was a longtime member at David Baptist Church of Kings Mountain, where she worked in the nursery and taught young children in Sunday School. Diane also enjoyed bear hunting in Michigan. Her family knew her as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will cherish their beloved memories of Diane forever.

SURVIVORS: Husband: Jack Vess, of the home Daughters: Sonya DeAnne Deaton of Grover, NC, and Donna Scoggins and husband, Dennis, of Blacksburg, SC Diane is also survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at David Baptist Church with Rev. Brian M. Taule officiating

VISITATION: Wednesday, December 11, 2024 prior to the service from 1:00 to 1:50 P.M. at David Baptist Church

INTERMENT: David Baptist Church Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
