DONALD "DON" LEE SCATES - Don Scates, age 75, resident of Kings Mountain, NC went to be with the Lord on July 23, 2015 at Carolina Healthcare System: Cleveland, Shelby, NC. He was born in Gaston Co. NC to the late Kathleen Greene. He was retired from Freightliner, Gastonia, NC after 23 years of service. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and served in the United States Army. Don enjoyed life especially camping and traveling with his wife and loved music especially the oldies.

NC Daughter: Sandy Ynette Clinton and husband Larry, Gastonia, NC Brothers: Kenneth Greene and wife Joyce, Shelby, NC Harold Greene and wife Vickie, Kings Mtn. NC Sister: Wanda London and husband John, Kings Mtn. NC 4 Grandchildren: Ethan Rivers, Megan Rivers, Chasity Barlow, Kaylin Craine. 1 Great Grandchild: Aiden Rhodes.

VISITATION: 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. Sunday evening, July 26, 2015 at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
