Donna Morrow Hulsey

Donna Morrow Hulsey, 62, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on April 16, 2026 at Atrium Health Cleveland in Shelby, NC. She was born April 26, 1963 in Cleveland County, NC, daughter of the late Jerry Morrow Helmes and Marie Knox Helmes and was preceded in death by beloved husband of 42 years, Terry Dean Hulsey. Donna worked for municipal governments most of her life. She had a brief stint with the cities of Kings Mountain and Stanley before settling into a more than 20 year career with the Town of Ranlo as the Finance Director. Donna attended True Gospel Holiness Church. She was a talented cook and loved feeding family and friends. Donna enjoyed spending time camping with her loved ones and eagerly awaited Halloween each year so she could show off her pumpkin carving talents. Donna enjoyed spending time at the coast, especially Kure Beach where she spent many days relaxing with her family on vacations. She loved her family deeply, always placing them ahead of herself. Donna had a special connection with her granddaughter whom she affectionately called "Lovie". Her nieces were always special to Donna and she enjoyed spending time and sharing her love with them. She was a wonderful wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to so many. She will be missed dearly by all those who loved her.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at 2:00 PM in the Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel with Reverend LeAnn and Reverend Rick Chapman officiating

VISITATION: Wednesday, April 22, 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:50 PM prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC
