Doris Whisnant

Doris Whisnant, 83, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on November 05, 2026 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC. Born January 21, 1943 in Cherokee Co, SC, she was the Daughter of the late Andrell Borders and Dorcus Proctor Borders. She was also preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Lee Whisnant and granddaughter, Brittney Gaddy. Doris was a talented hairdresser and a faithful member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where she served alongside her husband for many years. She loved her husband and her family dearly and made it her mission make sure everyone felt loved and accepted. She loved everyone as if they were her family. She enjoyed cooking and making sure everyone was happy and fed. Her love and service to her community will be missed by many and will always be remembered. Her life and family are a true testament to her faithfulness and love for others.

Grandchildren: Tyler Whisnant, Christopher Whisnant and wife Courtney, Leah Schae Clark and husband Stephen, Joey Proctor and wife Natalie, Jessica Ledford, Timothy Gaddy, II.

INTERMENT: Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
