ED WATERS - Edwin Claude "Ed" Waters, age 74, resident of 711 Sandalwood Lane, Kings Mountain, NC died June 10, 2012 at Crawley Memorial Hospital, Boiling Springs, NC. He was born in Cherokee Co, SC to the late William Claude "WC" Waters and Lela Mae White Waters. Mr. Waters was a faithful member of Christian Freedom Baptist Church, Kings Mtn. NC, served in the N.C. National Guard, and retired from Bowman Transportation, Charlotte, NC. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who thought of his family before himself.

SURVIVORS: Wife of 52 years: Nancy Bridges Waters, Kings Mtn. NC Son: Edwin Scott Waters and wife Kim, Gaffney, SC Daughter: Gloria Denise Davis and husband Oscar, Shelby, NC Brothers: Dean Waters, Bessemer City, NC Robert "Bob" Waters, Gastonia, NC 7 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Christian Freedom Baptist Church, Wednesday, June 13, 2012 4:00 P.M. Rev. Mike Chambers, officiating.

VISITATION: 6:30 - 8:30 P.M. Tuesday evening, June 12, 2012 at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, NC

INTERMENT: Christian Freedom Baptist Church Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
